I Reported A Social Media Scam to Chargebacking & They Helped Me Recover My Money in Less Than a Month!

Social media scam

I have always made a concerted effort, to be honest with my readers throughout my blogging career. Today, I will tell you about how I got scammed online and what I did to avoid being scammed again. Let me also state that I would not have been able to write this article if it hadn’t been for Charge Backing, a fund recovery company. If you’ve followed me, you’ll for sure know that I’m a big shopper online. My job description is to keep up with the latest trends and review them here for you. One thing very popular these days is plushies.

I came across a plushie TikTok ad. The page appeared to be legitimate, with connections to their PayPal account and other information. I ended up ordering $500 worth of adorable toys. To my dismay, I paid for five plushies with everything I had in my bank account. The firm hacked into my bank account and conducted transactions on numerous platforms without my knowledge. My world had been devastated the instant I learned that my bank account had been depleted. I became concerned and went online to look for a reputable fund recovery site. This is when I first learned about charge backing.

I had complete faith in the team, so I told them everything about my con. They assembled a team of professionals and were able to retrieve my funds in only a few weeks. Now that I’ve recovered my funds, I can do a few things to ensure that no one else falls victim to the fraud.

Worried About How You Can Save Others From Getting Scammed?

The first thing I did was go to charge backing to report. I learned from their website that they keep their subscribers up to date on new frauds and firms to avoid. As a result, I made certain to advise them of the company’s name and any pertinent information. It’s difficult to know where to report each form of scam because there are so many. Gather email addresses, receipts, and phone numbers so you can finish your report. Begin by notifying your state’s consumer protection office about the scam. If you have lost money or other valuables due to fraud, you should also contact your local police department.

You can file your scam with the federal government if you are a victim of fraud. Your report could help others avoid falling victim to a scam. Scam reports are used by government authorities to track scam patterns. Based on the reports, they may potentially initiate legal action against a corporation or industry. However, agencies do not follow up after you file a report, and you will not be able to recover any lost funds.

Some online scams begin in countries other than the United States. If you’ve been a victim of international fraud, go to econsumer.gov to report it. Your report aids international consumer protection organizations in detecting trends and avoiding scams.

You might want to report the scam to non-government organizations. Third parties may be able to help you get your money back or have fraudulent charges removed from your account.

Inform the company’s fraud department about a scam using an online merchant or a payment transfer method. If you paid a scammer with your credit card or bank account, notify the card provider or bank. Scams should also be reported to the major credit reporting organizations. To prevent someone from opening credit accounts in your name, place a fraud warning on your credit report.

If you believe you have been scammed, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Chargeback and report the firm to them. It’s one thing to be duped, but it’s quite another to do nothing about it.
